Welcome to SpeakApp, a mobile platform that connects users with certified therapists for mental wellness support. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of SpeakApp, available on Android and iOS.
By using SpeakApp, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and SpeakApp.
You must be at least 18 years old to use SpeakApp. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Providing false information may result in account termination.
SpeakApp offers access to certified therapists for booking and holding audio or chat-based mental health sessions. It also provides community features for peer support.
By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and up-to-date. You agree not to use the platform for illegal purposes or to impersonate another person.
Therapists must provide valid certification and identification. SpeakApp reserves the right to verify these documents and may reject or remove therapists who do not meet the platform’s professional standards.
Clients can book sessions with available therapists directly through the SpeakApp platform. At this time, rescheduling or canceling existing appointments is not supported. Please ensure availability before booking, as missed sessions are not eligible for refunds.
Clients pay for therapy sessions through the platform using secure gateways. Therapists earn a percentage of the client’s payment, credited to their wallet after session completion. SpeakApp may retain a service fee.
All communications and therapy sessions must be conducted within the SpeakApp platform. Attempting to take conversations or sessions outside the app—whether through chat, calls, or third-party tools—is strictly prohibited. This protects the privacy, safety, and integrity of both clients and therapists. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or permanent account deactivation.
Therapists can view their wallet balance and request withdrawals to their bank accounts. SpeakApp processes withdrawals in accordance with financial regulations and may require KYC verification.
All rights to the app's content, logos, and software belong to SpeakApp. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on SpeakApp without written permission.
You may not: (i) harass or abuse any user, (ii) provide or solicit illegal services, (iii) access the app using bots or automated scripts, or (iv) interfere with system security or platform functionality.
SpeakApp may suspend or terminate your account at its sole discretion for violations of these Terms or applicable laws, or in cases of suspected fraud or abuse.
SpeakApp is not a medical facility. Therapists are independent professionals and not employees of SpeakApp. The platform does not provide emergency services. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services immediately.
SpeakApp is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform. Our maximum liability under any claim is limited to the amount you paid for services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
